Confirming via league sources that Jerry Glanville to be named GM and head coach of Orlando Boxers of the new XFL, set to start play in 2020. Indications are a 45,000 season ticket base is already in place. Team will announce series of tryouts set to begin later this summer.....
WWE’s senior vice president of special events John Saboor contacted Orlando’s executive director of venues about the prospect of putting a team in Camping World Stadium.
It’s worth noting that Vince McMahon initially claimed WWE and XFL would be separate entities, but clearly that’s not the case if WWE employees are working on the new league.
Sources around the XFL say the league wants to 'fast track" to begin their season in 2019 instead of 2020. If true, this would be a treat for football fans in Orlando with both the XFL and Alliance of American Football starting at the same time. And Spurrier and Glanville here..

*edit to add "is this for real" possibilty

Just fun I hope. Speeding the process up would hurt the XFL.
Leading XFL sources report former LSU coach Les Miles to join Jerry Glanville's staff in Orlando as Associate Head Coach. Miles is also set to run the defense and special teams. Announcement coming soon regarding offensive coordinator position, the same sources telling me today..
Singletary now joins Steve Spurrier (Orlando) and Brad Childress (Atlanta) as other official Alliance head coaching hires. A source told Sporting News that Mike Martz (Southern California), Rick Neuheisel (Phoenix) and Jim Mora (Salt Lake City) are three other expected additions that will be announced in the coming weeks.
A league spokesman told Sporting News that “those names/cities aren’t confirmed so at this point would just be speculation."
The Memphis squad will play its games at the Liberty Bowl. Kosha Irby, a former WWE marketing executive, was named team president.
Hearing that the Alliance of Amrtican Football wants to put a team in Tulsa and will approach former Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops about coaching the team. Sources close to the situation tell me Stoops is "all ears and is dying to get back into coaching at any level without moving"..
