Nice defensive series by Eags, got them into third and 5/6 (helped by an unsportsmanlike penalty on NDSU that killed their field position) and made Miller throw. We'll see how it holds up into the second third and fourth quarters but they're coming out strong

Then a lousy punt that ends up around midfield, need to punch it in here too

EB takes a high snap from the 3 and punches it in himself. Love the fast offense, they're making the Bison rotate, where their depth isn't as good because they've had the same issues Eags have had more or less with transfers and injuries.

Of course Eags were up 14-0 in Moscow too. We'll see what happens this series.

And this is the problem Eags are gonna have: third and 9 and Jalen Bussey rips off a 19-yard run and Mitchell Johnson was the primary. Can't have a DB there. Jack Sendelbach can't do everything.

And NDSU gets another big third and long conversion and Miller runs it in the next play. Eags gotta take control back here.

Second big third down conversion of the game, first was the long one to Boston, now one to Chism. This is what they need

TD to BOSSton, missed XP, 20-7

Frequent rotations are not always the answer when you're down two big pieces. You're still down two, that's not changing. It's like if the Hawks were out both Wags and Kam Chancellor in the 2013 playoffs, wouldn't happen. Hope Eags can still exploit it.

Bison doing exactly what I was afraid of: while I'm glad to see NDSU has been forced into third and long, they're also 4/5, and two of them were Jalen Bussey runs

20-14

Wow, EB throws a desperation heave on third and 13 that is caught by Talolo Limu-Jones.

Guess you gotta have those too.

Bad end to that drive, and now looks like NDSU's gonna come down and take the lead.

NDSU is destroying Eastern on the ground as predicted, at over eight yards a clip.

And no Tamarick Pierce (Dennis Merritt is just terrible today, TP's much better in the offense overall), so that 2017 ugly could indeed still happen in the second half
