Hey I called 20 wasn't too far off😁

Probably a good thing they didn't get SDSU or UNI as their opener (instead their last two).

They got some ballers on D though, and looked like they were content to smother YSU with it and ball control while they get Noland up to speed as the starter (he was the backup in 2019 but I don't know offhand if he had any meaningful snaps).

I hadn't realized they were riding a now 39 game win streak. They can tie the second longest Division 1 streak (1908-14 Washington) on Saturday, and, barring cancellations, they would tie and break the famed 1953-1957 Oklahoma 47-game win streak in the first two rounds of the playoffs. That's pretty cool.

They were easily the program of the 2010s, now the challenge is sustaining it into a second decade. Historically on the FCS level, not so much (Georgia Southern was really the last to do it)--although App State has been pretty strong at the FBS level.

They lost twice, in the playoffs, the entire decade, that's just ridiculous (one was OT on the red turf in 2010, one of my all-time favorites).

Yeah, and playing in a strong conference too. It's not like they can sleep walk through the regular season. It's dominance that transcends the subdivision and even the sport. We're talking like 1960s Celtics stuff here.

I'm not sure the dominance has been good for FCS, but I'm now sort of rooting for them to catch Oklahoma.

SC State to play two games each against Howard and Delaware State

https://fbschedules.com/south-carolina- ... -schedule/

Meaning that, barring an unscheduled as of yet out of conference game, Howard's schedule is done too--Howard plays DSU Saturday

Good news for Renegades fans! Globe Life Park is going to host a rescheduled State Fair Classic.
State Fair Classic ft. Prairie View A&M and Grambling has been moved from Feb. 27 to Saturday, March 13 at 4:00pm ET.

Game has also been moved from the Cotton Bowl to Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas, to assess weather-related issues at the Cotton Bowl.

Only XFL stadium to host a football game this spring, I believe, not counting University of Houston's spring game.

Olympus has fallen, NDSU not only loses at SIU but gets blown out 38-14, first loss since 2017. Zeb Noland isn't quite ready to follow Jensen, Wentz, Stick, and Lance yet.

On one hand, it should be good for Eastern, Weber St, and JMU; on the other, the depth of the MVFC says that if this is the year against NDSU it'll just be another (SDSU, UND, UNI, SIU).

I was sort of hoping that they would make a run at OU, but I like that it's a bit more wide open this year.

A lot of surprising results today. The CAA will be in action next week and we'll really be cooking.

The EWU-Idaho and Weber-Idaho State games are on pluto.tv -- I'd never heard of it, but as a PSA, it's apparently completely free and is pretty smooth to use.

Good finish in Moscow -- EWU getting the ball with 0:54 on the game clock down by 7.
