Just got home. Appreciate all the updates good sir. I’m now a little worried about the ending of the game.StoneSentry wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 5:44 pmYeah, they just didn't want to bother. The explanation boiled down to "uhhh, I dunno, we thought the game was over. Oh well."Metallifreak10 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 5:36 pm Why they wouldn’t add the 2 seconds and pull everyone back onto the field idk. I get it, a mistake was made, but it would’ve been easy rectifying that mistake.

At least they admitted the mistake and there were consequences.

I couldn't tell if Zorn tried to put the offense back on the field or what, might have helped nudge.
But Booker isn't the only guy that should be fired from this, Blake(?) needs to go too. He looked like he was trying to go right over and confiscate the jerseys that Gates signed.
Unfortunately, between this, the 1-4 start, and the COVID scare, we may have just lost Seattle as a market. SD ready?

This is about all you could hope for in the aftermath of what happened. A real shame as the game was otherwise very entertaining and competitive.Metallifreak10 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 7:54 pm At least they admitted the mistake and there were consequences.

Seattle will be fine. They're crazy & it's a party. Don't you remember the 30 years the Seahawks were perenial celler dwellers? Zorn was the QB there for awhile. They will love the team at 1-5. But it looks like their offense is showing signs of life, so hopefully they have a little more fun and notch a win.

I really have to admire the league for stepping up and taking responsibility for the error. Undoubtedly, this same incident won't ever happen again in the league and at the end of it all, that's all we can really hope for or expect.

Um, the Hawks were never perennial cellar dwellers--they've had 17 losing seasons in 44 and the worst stretch was four in a row (and even one of those was a playoff gimme for a rebuilding team thanks to Alex Smith: Turnover Machine)Regular Joe wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 5:21 amSeattle will be fine. I didn't get this either, it made no sense whatsoever. The coaches are really struggling to get to grips with what the best option is on some of these extra points. Two points there was just no benefit other than if they just feel their chances are better a bit further out Decided upstairs before the drive started apparently.

Real shame that game ended with that controversy because it was another exciting Houston game. They just poorly managed the clock at the end having come back brilliantly and should have just been smarter. PJ should have just dropped back to use up more time and heave the ball out like JJ said. Game over, no controversy.

Seems that as he started going from the Mahomes of the XFL to the Russell of the XFL he ended up closer to the way Russell ended his last Super Bowl than the obvious Mahomes go back eight yards and airmail it--cue all the jokes of 'well of course the Seahawks were scouting him"
Which possibly leads to another problem that's been in the NBA for years, anticipation. It's likely they were anticipating PJW to do the same and had the game call ready. Then when he didn't, oh brother.
Big that the league got out in front of this. I'd like to see more than Booker fired (Blake needs to go too), but it needed to be done nonetheless.
