Just please...........puleeeeeze don't be the Sasquatch......I would hate it. But I have this gut feeling.........

Someone on twitter was speculating that the NHL team will be "Sockeyes" based on the way "Seattle" looks on the website. The "le" with the underline, sorta looks like the head of a sockeye salmon. I don't expect a fish for the XFL name.

I would be ok with it but I understand many wouldn't be. I think we'll get something a little safer...hopefully not too safe. It would be nice to have some originality.

I am not crazy about Sockeyes, Sasquatch or Orcas either for that matter. I do get the excited but worried bit too. As I have said before, no one team name has jumped out and smacked me upside the head saying "This is the one!" And that bothers me!
Most Seattle teams have water related names - Mariners, Sounders, and Seahawks.

Yeah......I believe Sockeyes will be the NHL name........colors red and black. The Canucks have blue/green already.

I wonder if the X design on the ball tip makes it easier for receivers to track in flight?

Maybe having a first home game promotion where you give away these footballs to youths 14 or under ......it would be a great way for a family to attend.....and get a XFL team ball in the hands of your youngster.....making him an XFL fan for life maybe.

Good idea on the ball give-a-way, they need some type of promotions to build the fan base. I would like to see more family stuff in the XFL rather than the more adult NFL. MLB tends to be very fan/family friendly, particularly in the minor leagues.
