I have to say, I was impressed by one name on that You Tube link and that was the Seattle Tsunami; never would have thought of that!

Yes, that has some potential. I did see the Tsunami idea for the NHL team https://thehockeywriters.com/10-names- ... ranchise/ and at one point was looking into a logo. I found one that incorporated an "S" with a wave but, as with the "S" serpents, didn't like the logo facing backwards on one side. Also, the potential idea of a "Blue Wave" sounded too political. Too much time spent on twitter, I guess!

The article I mentioned above had a couple different ideas for the NHL team...Shield and Breakers.

Another name similar to Breakers, would be "Sea Wall" but that would be stealing the nickname for the Seawolves Rugby teams defense near the Try Zone.

Hmmm, Seattle Cascades aren't too bad.The problem with the S in Seattle or a S team name is the backwardness on the helmet. However, since tsunami begins with a T but sounds like an S, it's no problem as the T looks the same on either side.Therefore, a wave with a T could work if designed properly.

Since this still about having fun...... while we await.......and wait........ I'd like to present two "Seattle Serpents" designs. One for the XFL......and one for the NHL.......in Sonics green and yellow.
