I will point out the fact that the way I intend it is for the serpent to be the letter "S" representing "Seattle". And for me at least...... it works.

Sure...I understand that. However, it is still a Serpent facing a direction. That logo is too good to have it looking like it's in retreat. Like the American Flag shoulder patches, they should always look like they are moving forward. The number on the other side solves that for me. You still get an awesome logo and it is never retreating.
It's gettin' hot in here...and we about to burn 'em up!

Looks like the 2020 XFL champion may be 2-3 seconds short of playing a full season :?

I think the logo works either way but I do like having the number on one side.

I have just one more design left for Seattle. This is one that will work no matter how you flip it.

As a tribute to the area's airplane industry that it's long been known for...... Here is the "Seattle Aviators"

Keep 'em coming! I just hope the actual name and logo is better than the Seattle Sea Squirrels but I'm a bit nervous :?

The Seattle Emerald Flyers helmet looks good in the new XFL office :)

If we can just drop "Emerald" and just be the "Seattle Flyers" the look could definitely be "fly".

I'm okay with that. Adding "Emerald" makes it less generic but would likely be less used over time, maybe similar to SuperSonics - Sonics.

Since the logo is based on the Mt Rainier Flying Saucers, other names that fit are, Seattle Saucers and Seattle Skippers.
He told the reporters that the nine craft were about a hundred feet across, thin, and disk- or crescent-shaped. Although the front of the craft was round, the rear looked chopped off and came to a point. He said that he was amazed that there was no tail, as on a normal aircraft, and that the craft did not make any noise. When one of the reporters asked him how the craft maneuvered, Arnold replied that they moved kind of like a saucer would move if someone skipped it across a lake. The reporter wrote down that Arnold said the aircraft looked like flying saucers, and the misquote stuck.
