It's time. Silvers is not good enough the keep a more mobile QB on the bench. May be two (or three) weeks too late but we gotta see what BJ can do.

Based on Z-Man's post game presser, it doesn't look like BJ will get a chance next week. Z-Man feels that Silvers has improved, will continue to improve, and BJ leads well from the back up position. Says that he'll have to be ready because he may have to play at some point but it doesn't look like it will be soon.

Silvers has proven, thus far, incapable of putting together more than a half of good football. We are roughly 1/3 of the way through the season and it is time to try something else. Sit him down, let him think about it, and give Daniels a shot. A QB who cannot play consistently for an entire game is not going to get it done. I don't expect perfection but this good half/bad half is getting us nowhere. It is unfair for our defense to play as hard and as well and as loooong as they are and not get the offensive support that is needed. If Jimmy Z sticks to his plan, BJ had better be ready to go in at the first sign of SIlvers faltering - again! I'm no coach, but I would sit him.

I went back and watch Silvers' presser; he is saying all of the right things but still not getting the job done. I appreciate that he takes ownership of the offense's problems but that is clearly not enough.

Agreed. Ideally, last week would have been the BJ Daniels opportunity as Silvers missed a lot of practice recovering from a sprained ankle.

I fear that Zorn is viewing his team as an expansion team (they are but so is everyone else), looking to mold his QB and slowly improve rather than find the winning formula now. Next season is too late.

Without being at practice, it's difficult to know how Daniels looks in comparison to Silvers. But, and I keep harping on this, BJ's mobility can make up for a lot of things. Giving a little extra time for receivers to find some space or flat out taking off and gaining more than 1-2 yds can bring a positive change for the offense.

The next two games likely will be their toughest to date. If the offense plays like they have, we're looking at a 1-4 record at the turn. The time is now...not next season.

I couldn't agree more - for all the good that does us. Good analogy about expansion but it won't cut it like it would in the NFL. Too much, in terms of the league's success depends on putting a decent if not quality product on the field immediately. That may not be fair but it is what it is. Being an 8 team short season league, it is even more critical. I hope Zorn is quick to pull the trigger, if necessary, in an effort to save the season AND the fans.

Chanting “B.J” for quarterback B.J Daniels repeatedly throughout this week and last week’s games in Century Link Field shows that the fans are ready to move on from the lackluster performances of Silvers. The lack of mobility in the pocket, the poor decision-making, and inaccuracy of his throws are all valid reasons in considering a change of leadership on the offensive end for the Seattle Dragons.
