Which XFL rules will survive the merge?

I hope they keep the kickoff and the alternative to the onside kick.

I'm not super familiar with USFL rules, but they're for the most part the same, no? On the things that are different, the XFL kickoff I'd like to see kept. From what I recall, the OT rules are similar. I kinda like the 4th-and-15 rule, but I could honestly take or leave it. The rule changes to speed up the game had the right intent, but I hope they take a look at their overall effectiveness. Those I'm on the fence about, too.

Not sure what the USFL has for replay, but for the most part liked the XFL system. The coach challenge system needs to be refined if they keep that. I'm okay with ditching it, though. They only seemed to include it as part of their rules partnership with the NFL, and who knows the status of that now that the league is merging.

I like the XFL one foot catch rule to stick for more O

I like the USFL K/O and PAT rules better.

I agree here. I do like the XFL kickoff, but understand that could turn some people off. I'm cool with the 3pt conversion, but still prefer the NFL 1pt PAT too.

Pretty much the main differences are the kickoff, and the extra point (USFL allows the 1-point kick, XFL doesn't, though both allow the 3-point conversion).

Other than that, remember that XFL 2020 tested their rules in TSL, which was the forerunner of the USFL, so the overlap in unusual rules is quite extensive. So stuff like the double-forward pass, and the rule allowing linemen to advance downfield before a screen pass are already in the USFL rules.
