Nothing official, but this UFL idea with these division names would be my guess if they're going to use that new league name. What's yours? Hopefully, the supposed pause button will be un-paused and we can add more of these teams that didn't make the initial cut in a couple of years.

2. Arlington Renegades
3. D.C. Defenders
4. St. Louis Battlehawks
USFL Division
1. Birmingham Stallions
2. Memphis Showboats
3. Michigan Panthers
4. Houston Gamblers

Your scenario is interesting but is dependent on which Houston team makes the cut. I lean more towards a North-South scenario that sees Birmingham lumped in with the Texas teams. This also allows Memphis to establish a rivalry with St. Louis in the north.
