But apparently still a genius as he chose Geno Smith over Russell Wilson. Seattle in 2022 was supposed to win between 0-3 games but nobody told Pete Carroll.

Oh I'm just busting on the Coan pick. Carroll is definitely one of the top 3/4 in the NFL for a long time. Getting rid of Russell Wilson at $48mm a year was huge smart and a applauded it at the time. Denver got hosed. But in general - Carroll keeps his teams competitive and finds ways to win. Whether you personally "like" him or not, he's a very good coach.

It's just a camp invite anyway--same one that Levi Lewis had before making his way up to the CFL last year. Besides, they signed Holton Ahlers (among his resume highlights, followed Gardner Minshew), who'll be the one going forward to July/August barring something unexpected.

This isn't a signing. It's a need for bodies to fill since neither Geno Smith or Drew Lock are going to be there.

It isn't, but it does indicate some level of interest teams have in these players.

It's being reported that XFL players can't sign with NFL teams until May 15, so that's the date to look on for on actual signings. Until then, it'll just be tryouts.

Can they sign with USFL teams?
