I did not expect the first ABC game to break a million. So pleasantly surprised about that.

That over a million number is a nice victory and I'm sure the league will find a way to tout that. Nice increase on FX as well, Arl-SA was about as expected, but would have loved to see them crack 800k. Looking forward to the ESPN2 numbers later today, game seemed to have lots of traction on Twitter and Google trends so hopeful for 550k

Here's the weekly from Showbuzz
https://showbuzzdaily.com/articles/sked ... -2023.html

I did expect a good showing Sat and less Sunday... Saturday: Weather in NE was rain, no NCAAM CBB competition, not much other competition. My prediction 1125k actual 1047k . Pretty close - was expecting a tad better. Now on Sunday there was NCAA competition as well as good weather in the NE. My prediction 775k actual 753k .

These games (USFL too) are not appointment viewing and winter / foul weather are a major factor. With FX doing slightly better than I expected in general i think XFL missed the boat on ratings thru week 6. My USFL prediction for 2022 was 40% hit for 'competing' with summer.

723k avg for week BEFORE Houston/DC.

As I predicted both SA/ARL and SDSU/Creighton lost viewers to NBC Golf (a non-major) with their brutal displays of offense, that said Miami/Texas actually trailed StP/UNC from last year which probably is alarming for the NCAA.

So, ignoring the fact that the proponent just tried to sneak in a 'well neither league.........' here like we wouldn't notice, the fact is people higher up have way more to worry about. As said, the XFL should probably have Houston next year if they wanna do a Texas back-to-back

Nice to see. It was a great time slot as people were waiting for basketball to start.
