Boom. Did not expect this, but I guess it makes sense.
I wonder what other teams are prepared to make coaching changes.

Not sure how it will help them block, but probably can't hurt.

Never been an Elizondo fan, couldn’t do anything in 2020 and was worse when he got a promotion to the CFL and a HC gig, including bringing Taylor Cornelius with him (who he set up for a long career in pro football despite other XFL mainstays being better.)
Good move by Ward. Season needs to be saved and Elizondo just hasn’t got the offensive mind for this

Not surprised that SA did something - they can't generate any offense. I just don't see anything in Coan so far. Posted about the overall offense being an issue esp for SA and AR. We'll see if this change has any positive impact.Coffeeeyes wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 8:58 pm Never been an Elizondo fan, couldn’t do anything in 2020 and was worse when he got a promotion to the CFL and a HC gig, including bringing Taylor Cornelius with him (who he set up for a long career in pro football despite other XFL mainstays being better.)

I did not expect SA to be the next to move on from their OC - thought Orlando would beat them to it - but a shake-up is clearly needed. I'm not sure a QB change would've helped - hasn't been the elixir Arlington was looking for and I'm not sure having an even more stationary QB behind that OL is going to be the answer.

No preseason to rattle things around. The XFL is learning a lot right now. Hopefully they’re smart enough to be taking notes.
