GP,

How do you know that is what happened? Why is B Scott assumed in the wrong?

Hundley wasn't a good QB in the NFL, but he could be a good one in the XFL.

Why do you assume he's in the right? Especially when you use 'starters want to start' as some sort of defense when it all but demonstrates that he isn't above embellishing his rep.

Different game obviously--less to do with the style of the game than the structure of the opposing pass rush, but Tony Graziani (who joined the dreaded 0.0 rating club in his first career start) went on to dominate the Arena League. Furthermore Hundley's about the same age as Graziani was at his height.

Besides, Woodson's seen him for over two months: first in preseason then for the last five weeks of the season so he's the one to know what he can and can't do. Obviously more 'can do' that translates here, we'll see.

That’s why Bryan Scott and Vegas have mutually agreed to part ways.

The XFL and the Vipers have had interest and talks with Hundley’s reps for quite some time. His availability was in question.

MM hasn’t posted it but He posted this post around the same time Analyst posted what ended up being wrong and Analyst got his info that was wrong from Scott himself. The reports that came out later From trusted reporters like James Larsen said it. Doesn’t mean Scott won’t get picked up by another team (or League) but it does seem to mean he put out bad info to spin the story in a way that makes him look better (assuming the updated story is correct)

And he could just be reguritating the XFL line.

Mike is pretty tuned in - he hasn't recanted what he posted and he looks out for the players, Since MM said that Hundley was targeted for a while yet not available until now - I'm going with MM. MM also stated Hundley was hired to be the starter, once that happened - THEN B Scott was out, not before. MM also said B SCott wants to be the starter, he won't be now that Hundley agreed. If Hundley doesn't sign is B Scott still a Viper? Likely. The other teams have their QB's and XFL saves money dropping a high cost player. No Rock blinders on here. And I don't think Scott's the last either. If MM or others can corroborate then it is what it is. If XFL hadn't been pursing Hundley for a while maybe diff, But from spring FB darling to flunky in 8 month? We shall see.

The good news for Scott (and I said this all along) is that signing with the early playing league allows for a chance, if cut, to sign with the later league. So I had no issue with any player signing with XFL.

Both of these things can be true:

1. The Vipers have been pursuing Brett Hundley for some time; and
2. Bryan Scott was not performing well in camp

These are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

Good point, regardless of why he was cut I do think we’re going to see Scott play in one of the 2 US spring leagues this year. Xfl has a few teams I’d like to see add him (Orlando and Houston) usfl has a few as well (Philly and Houston)
