Poor PJ, now gets the start at home vs TB in what's sure to be a throw-em-to-the-lions crowd after the Panthers traded CMC (with DJ Moore, Brian Burns, and Shaq Thompson all likely to follow).

Could they become the first team to drop five different QBs (possibly three that started, it's rare at the least) in the offseason? I'm counting even Matt Corral and his poor attitude, cause what do you think it's gonna be like when they're targeting Young, Stroud, or Levis in what's to be his "comeback szn"?

I've discussed at length from back in April, when ESPN made a story out of the small fire at Empower Field like it was going to postpone the Broncos' game on Sunday.

I threw out the Jets as a hypothetical opponent, and lo and behold, six months later here we are, with Dangerwich possibly missing his first game as a Bronco just over a third of the way into his first season, giving way to Brett Rypien, with JJ all but guaranteed to be a gameday elevation to backup if that's the case.

Though he never played in the league, P Jack Fox was drafted by the BattleHawks in October 2019 and now has become the highest-paid punter in the NFL with his contract extension announced today:

Russ officially out, JJ to be elevated behind Brett Rypien

Taylor Heinicke starts vs the Pack

After being seemingly the Chargers only downfield threat vs DEN, DP will miss the Seahawks game with a concussion

Wow take this and burn it. In yet another non-offensive special Taylor is 7 of 17 for 40 yards with a pick-six as both he and Rodgers have combined to average under three yards per attempt.

For everyone who's been complaining about the NFL being too geared towards offense, now it's (predictably, and Goodell will cave too) the media's turn that it's the opposite.

And in a major TF, PJ and the Panthers (now of Chuba Hubbard and D'Onta Foreman) shut out the Bucs for three quarters and is totally outplaying Brady.

See when the media starts complaining about how "bad" the NFL is this year I say BS (watch for the Florio column sometime this week), this is fun. They wanted high paid QBs, they got them. They wanted more time off for players (which has a not small hand in injuries and less needed cohesion), they got them. Unfortunately there won't be any pushback, cause "we need these guys to be our friends you know"...............................

Godwin Igwebuike was released off Seattle's practice squad. Today, Philadelphia began the 21-day practice window for TE Tyree Jackson to be activated off PUP list.

Big ups to Cmdr Heinicke and PJW (DJ Moore notwithstanding. I guess that's one way to ensure you won't be traded, who's giving up the CMC package for that?--then again they dumped Robbie Anderson for a draft guide.)
