Xfl footballs possibly shown at showcases
Just like the league rebrand I’d describe this football as bland

Of course it’s too early for an official ball… that is a ball with the XFL stamped on it, similar to the balls we saw in Arlington at the coaches reveal.
Hopefully the XFL is looking at something with a little more character for an official ball.
Remember in 2020 each team had a ball? How cool was that?

Xfl 2020 is the standard. The team footballs are my favorite footballs of all time. Markcast reposted the Arlington photos, I think it’s the same football but could be wrong. I want to like the league because 2020 was so great but if those do end up being the footballs I’m worried it won’t have much personality which is not something I was worried about with this ownership before the rebrand and seeing these footballsMarkNelson wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 9:58 pm Of course it’s too early for an official ball… that is a ball with the XFL stamped on it, similar to the balls we saw in Arlington at the coaches reveal.

Those basically seem like they're "The Duke," the same ball the NFL uses. Meh.
At least the 2020 balls were researched and tested extensively before they were used.

I’m willing to bet the real balls are still being worked on. In 2019 the XFL held the showcases with generic balls, with the real game balls being released late in November 2019.
Keep in mind this XFL puts the logo everywhere.

If you believe this league doesn’t even have something as major as teams and cities squared away yet, it seems highly unlikely they’d already have something as minor as the design of the ball already figured out.
Plus we never even got an announcement on what company is supplying the balls. And with this ownership’s love of announcing partnerships, you’d have to imagine that would be done before the finished product was put into use.

Exactly right. Seriously though, from what we know of this XFL, I can’t even imagine what they’ll come up with in respect to an official game ball. Will it be black with thin white XFL lettering? Maybe one half of a X on one end and the other half on he other, with an essay in-between? Who knows. Surprise me.GregParks wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 11:36 pm If you believe this league doesn’t even have something as major as teams and cities squared away yet, it seems highly unlikely they’d already have something as minor as the design of the ball already figured out.

I just know I have my red and black XFL 2001 ball on shelf next to my XFL 2020 Team 9 ball. There is definitely room for one more.
