I believe that’s when they announce the new shows/content coming next year

Disney (ESPN) will announce next years schedule tomorrow in NYC. Danny Garcia is in NYC.

Coincidence?

Yes, it's to sell advertising ahead of the new season, thus upfront.

Usually you have fall and midseason announcements, but as noted FOX had a taped presentation instead.

Well I think its pretty much assumed that ESPN/ABC/ESPN+ were going to be involved. But to what extent will be interesting. And if any other players are involved. I also would not be surprised if the Rock offers up a movie deal to sweeten the pot ( and his own wallet too).

The showcases interest me less other than them having them, and its more a tryout. Will any be in an XFL city? That's a good question.

Oh you mean you weren't heavy with anticipation and disappointed that FOX went and skipped their homework, denying us the unveiling (again, it's already been delayed twice) of Monarch?

It'll flop faster than that show about AI, or Greg Olsen's soon-to-be-short-lived run as FOX's #1 analyst

The most important thing to watch when these announcements happen is to see how much coverage the XFL gets in the mainstream media. When they pull out the stops and make a splash, does anyone care? This is what I am watching.

Coverage from mainstream media means respect, and will lead to more coverage.

Admittedly Dany went way out there to tease us this time. She put on her flashiest outfit just to get a video of her crossing Barclay Street next to the Four Seasons NYC? Admittedly she has me looking for a hidden meaning. I guess I bought in :D
