First look at the XFL 2023 footballs

Post by herns »

Personally I thought the 2020 footballs were perfect and if it happens I’m disappointed they won’t be back, I will say the footballs aren’t bad if this is what they go with but it is a downgrade

Agreed, although the old football literally had the old logo built into them, so I'm definitely expecting a change.

The points on the end aren’t here though, looks like an nfl ball with the xfl logo slapped on. I find it interesting this ownership group doesn’t seem to be going very flashy with branding so far which isn’t what I expected

It looks like a regular ball with the logo stamped on it. Could be just for the photo op. I'm not sure I'd draw any conclusions that this is for sure the ball they're using; given some of the other major stuff they're still apparently ironing out, I'd be surprised if they already have a relatively minor issue like the ball and its supplier already figured out.

Better image copies on Dany Garcia's IG. I blew it up a bit.

Here are some other images she posted, but the logos are not really showing.

I'll miss the bolt action point (as named by me), but you'll have three different balls for the three versions. I guess that's alright.

And happy 50 Rock, make this the start of the blitz.

You’d think that with the way they style the X as ><, you could put one half on each side, sort of like the college stripes. That might not be terrible.

I know Team Issue is making the balls for FCF now.

As long as they don't use the USFL balls I think they'll be fine!

The ball doesn't appear to show the new allegedly "plagiarized" XFL on it, it looks more like the old one.
