XFL 2.0 was 22% being the highest; AAF was the 9.2% the lowest.

USFL is at 16.1%. All based on 2021 Nielsen data.
And the assumption that all eight of the teams the USFL named after other cities have any connection to them, which of course they do not.

Well of course they do. The plan is to move them to those cities in Year 2 or 3. That's a connection.

Patience in year 1, it is what it is. Just like NBA and Hockey did just for diff reason.

Or Year 3! Let's hope not.

USFL should have named these teams Tokyo, London, Mars, etc. Really expand the brand.

Come on now. BTW you left out Beijing and alpha centauri (eveyone knows Mars is a baseball planet)

Woods actually talked about the plan as "hypothetical" in the The_Markcast interview right before the TSL season last year. It's about leveraging viability (ie not burning out of money).

Well, Birmingham has eight, so why not?
Yes but not at the same time.

I really think they are missing out on a golden opportunity in San Diego. I always thought the way some of the fans embraced the Fleet in the former AAF made them a prime spot for a future team that had the potential to resemble something close to what the Battlehawks were/are in St. Louis.

I think you may want to start to warm up to the hub model, Mike Mitchell has reported (again) red bird is seriously looking at it

Giving up both NY and LA was a big TV blow.
They could have cushioned it by going for Chicago, with a natural rival in St. Louis.
Or they could have tried to revive the San Francisco Demons, the biggest draw in the old XFL. Even as an Oakland team it counts as the same TV market.
I'm in Houston so I'm glad they're trying to stick it out, but I don't see how it lasts.

Seems that the cities don't care that the teams are playing in Birmingham.
More USFL: The Michigan Panthers game earned a 4.0 rating yesterday in Detroit, which more than quadruples the regular season average of Pistons games on Bally Sports Detroit.
