Writer John Ourand has made his sports television predictions for 2019. In the article, Ourand states that The XFL will have a surprising amount of suitors to air their games from NBC to ESPN, but Ourand predicts that The XFL will sign with Fox and air games on Fox and FS1. The writer cites Vince McMahon’s current relationship with the network.

In a recent interview, XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck hinted at multiple tv partners who have experience televising NFL games. Luck specifically mentioned “partners” when discussing the impending tv rights deal. Them ultimately deciding to go with Fox strictly wouldn’t surprise me if it happens. The XFL will probably have 3 games televised every week. 2 prime time games on Saturday night, 1 game Sunday afternoon and 1 on Sunday in prime time. Similar to the original XFL tv deal. This deal is crucial to the league’s survival and mainstream credibility. Potential players, coaches and business partners could be influenced by the deal and end up taking the league seriously as a result.
