>> Sports Business Journal reported last week that ESPN is “nearing the finish line” of its Major League Baseball renewal, which as previously reported by The Athletic and New York Post will see the network’s rights fee reduced by at least $100 million per year. ESPN is expected to cut its Monday and Wednesday night games under the new deal, which would go into effect next season. <<

When TSL will be on FOX roughly half as much as MLB will. They really screwed up letting FOX move it all to FS1, which I noted a couple days ago that CBS actually had more of a presence in the early 90s than FOX does now, although it's more of hybrid between CBS and NBC, who only came back in a secondary role. Neither is good for MLB going forward.

Cue the jokes now. Joe Buck will be on Jeopardy as much this year as he will MLB, and it isn't expected to change. That's why what was largely unheard of 10-20 years ago (the alt league circuit making a serious go at the post-March Madness area) has a chance to be a thing.

Yep. Because FB rules. And I'm sure TSL and XFL/CFL aren't complaining about all the MLB controversy this year.
