The point I was trying to make is that there are plenty of "pro quality" college QBs out there that don't necessarily get drafted early or in some cases at all. Football is a pyramid from Little Guy football to the NFL and not everyone can get to the top. That doesn't mean that everyone who doesn't is a failure or poor player. It' s kind of like thinking that winning an Olympic silver or bronze medal makes you a loser. The talent for multiple pro leagues exists as does the desire, it's just difficult to find the money to make it happen. Let's hope someone figures it out and takes the plunge.

Here we go again.....Beginning this CFL season if one goes down.....the Edmonton Eskimos are no more. In order to appease the inuit community, the team will go by "EE Football club" or the alternative "Edmonton Football Club" until a new name is drawn up. How about "Roughriders"?

WRONG

Intuits were fine with the name. The team met with them as recent as 2020 (if I recall correctly).

This is a directive of WW (White Woke) pressuring sponsors, who insistent on it. Yes that's correct White Woke not the actual Intuit pushed for this... brutal.

They found Inuit held “a range of opinions” on the name, and there was “no consensus” about whether or not it should be changed.

Godless Souless Moral less Coca-Cola aka the same company doing huge business in China is telling USA and Canadian teams what to call their team.

Just wanted to clear that up, now back to our regularly scheduled ranting....

This is only partially true. Edmonton did those things, but only consulted a few hundred Inuit rather than an actual decent sample size.

Inuits and Eskimos is a an issue that dates backs decades and majority of inuits are fine with it. However there is a tone used when calling Inuits Eskimos but its not a derogatory term it's more of a identity issue.

Edmonton Football Club did a survey and counsel group with approx 300 inuits in regions they represent as a territory and majority of them (95%) said they have no issue with the term Eskimos as a name of the a Football team. Also 100% of them said they do not identity as the Football team being racist or have any issue with the logo (main and secondary) as an issue.

The problem comes from a woman who represents a certain region with issues. I don't recall her name but in my opinion she is a complete clown. She spent thousands of band dollars and time fighting the Eskimos name while neglecting the poor water conditions which upset pretty much everyone in the region. She has been viewed as a fraud. Think of Rev Al Sharpton for black people. She had her social media accounts suspended due to verbal attacks and promotes violence in non-native communities to bring awareness of her political views.

Approx 2 months prior to the Football team changing names she literally created an online attack against the Eskimos. The Football team folded and after the Redskins changed their name they panicked and caved.

We also had the sponsorship issue when an insurance company cancelled the Eskimos deal (which they did actually at the end of 2019) got free publicity doing the old awareness trick when not having to spent $$.

Reading and understanding is hard for you? lol

But anyways. Russell Wilson was the first QB on many teams boards. Frank Tarkenton advised the Vikings to draft him in the 1st or 2nd round the latest.

QB's selected in 1st round means nothing. Its skillset and if the CFL/XFL had their ducks in the row 10 years ago. They could have brought Wilson into the league.

This is why the new league will be heavily favored towards CFL rules. If you just keep it basic 4 down rule then the league will become a minor league. Which will be the end of the league cause the CFL fans wouldn't care anymore. Nobody is interested in supporting a minor league football league in Canada.

Yeah, sometimes. For example, when I'm reading a sentence like "Don Matthews is credited to be the first coach professionally to run a style of defense", I do have a hard time understanding.

Please provide a citation. While you're at it, feel free to cite your source for Calvillo turning down the Steelers' QB1 job.
