The Rock’s Plan

Post by Joker »

My theory, and this is some sheet straight outta Ballers.

The CFL teams have individual ownership, and XFL teams are league owned. If the leagues join the CFL teams won’t switch to league owned. Impossible. Johnson and other XFL owners want to join the leagues and make a larger league with greater reach, then get the big tv contract, and then they can sell off the XFL teams at a much greater value. Literally, cash in on their investment.

Maybe Johnson will keep one team as his own toy, and Garcia will do the same.
Fan of the XFL from the beginning. You may remember me from the original XFLboard.

XFL will never get a tv contact that gives them $$$.

This is 1 issue in Canada the media has failed to explain.

I am starting to think the Rock and his partners even failed to mention this to the CFL. They use words like ''TV CONTACT'' ''REVENUE'' but fail to explain how they will get this done. No network is giving the XFL or any football league $$ to televise its games unless they are in their 3rd or 4th year with huge success.

This is why they want the CFL cause they know how big it is in Canada so at least 50% of a merger looks like a success
