Thanks for digging on this, Mark. Would hope that someone who founded a trademark law firm would be a little more accurate about trademark info they Tweet out.

For one, they seemed to assume that this was a new trademark? (I think?) and it’s not. The league just re-upped it again. Someone is making news out of nothing.

Second, yesterday Michael McCann of Sportico wrote an article that accused the league of abusing the trademark registration system. https://www.sportico.com/law/analysis/2 ... 234622857/

This seems like a reach to me. Another “nothing burger.”

Well it is a year away. Hopefully with the masks gone and life normal, it will have the fun sportsmanship tone to it that Rod Smart had. Hope they throw him a few bucks for it too.
