>> The XFL plans on returning in the spring of 2022, but there is a lot that the league will have to accomplish in 2021 for that to happen.
The XFL is returning in 2022, but there are many different factors in play and a lot of work that needs to be accomplished between now and then. <<
Well said!
>> The consensus from sources I was in contact with was that RedBird Capital would not put one more dollar into the XFL until they secured a lucrative media rights deal. <<
AND again
>> Before the XFL made it official that they would be returning in 2022, Dwayne Johnson, one of the league’s co-owners, went on social media and pointed out how they were “looking for the right partners” to fully execute the league’s vision. A hint that XFL 3.0 had not found them yet and that it wouldn’t be an easy process. <<
This is what we gathered from these sources and it was evident to me when they canceled 2021.
Its a good piece by Mike M... take a look...
The one thing he doesn't talk about is the front office, marketing, ticket sales, etc... delays impact that as well.
What Mike doesn't say is that if its all about TV money, none of these actions will take place in the absence of one.

Oh yawn. Give me some real news, not this rehashed drivel.
To be honest, Greg Parks wrote about most of this literally last year, and he broke it down with better sentence structure and grammar... but I think he’s a teacher, so it goes without saying.
MM used to post here. Where did he go? Anyone know?

Fan of the XFL from the beginning. You may remember me from the original XFLboard.

The day I come here looking for XFL news I find nothing but this.
Hey, the Rock has a tv show coming out. Maybe his character will mention the XFL? Then someone can write about that.

Hey! I already wrote about that! Seriously, there is nothing actually happening right now. But there is stuff building. Details? We don’t know. And the details are important, right?
When does that Young Rock show start?

Not surprised. We wait for the XFL to do something important. Here, quote me:
“The XFL will do some surprising things and make some cool moves in the next 12 months.”
