End Bad Beats
Why wouldn't the XFL go all in with sports betting and give 10 league standing points for winning the game and 2 league standing points for beating the spread, or achieving your teams part of the over, or stopping the other team fro getting their part of the over, etc... Make teams care about what the betting fan cares about.

This is actually a really interesting idea. I don't know about it affecting the standings, but maybe the win bonuses?

To quote Herm Edwards... "You play to win the game." Once betting becomes the priority people will lose interest outside pure gamblers. Not a sports than, it would be a horse race.
