The fact that the US, who is terrible at handling the virus is ahead of Canada, who was good at it in terms of vaccinations is stunning.laxtreme56 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 10:30 am The CFL fan base is primarily 50+ year old men, which puts them in a higher risk category. Canada is also way behind the rest of the world in vaccinations, currently sitting around #60 worldwide. If Japan is looking to cancel the summer olympics again in a country that dealt with the virus remarkably well, it does not bode well for the CFL playing this year

If it wasn't for the USA there would be no vaccinations yet. Canada will do fine.GDAWG wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 12:07 pmThe fact that the US, who is terrible at handling the virus is ahead of Canada, who was good at it in terms of vaccinations is stunning.laxtreme56 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 10:30 am The CFL fan base is primarily 50+ year old men, which puts them in a higher risk category. The CFL needs to get under 50's in stadium, man up. If USA can do it ( fans in stands) they can do it.
With the winters there and limited outdoor nice weather - peeps must be busting out of their seams.

It's been -40 for two weeks in Saskatchewan. We are ready for warmer weather!4th&long wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 1:37 pmIf it wasn't for the USA there would be no vaccinations yet. In Saskatchewan, both positive and death rates have gone down in the past two weeks. If the trend continues, we should be able to open up, especially as vaccines increase.
Hopefully the other provinces fare well too.

Argos sign a few XFL players including Sean Oakman:

Vaccine rollout is getting a lot better in Canada. For example, in Saskatchewan, we are anticipating everyone who wants one will get their first shot of a vaccine by June.
I don't expect the season to start on time, but we easily should have fans in the stands whenever it starts.
In the NHL, the Oilers are putting a plan in place to have limited fans at their games, which should bode well for Alberta's CFL teams.

Alberta is one of the most conservative provinces in Canada, though. It's one thing for the Alberta teams to have fans, but it'd be another altogether to see BC or Quebec allow their teams (and ironically, they're the teams that most need the seats filled).

If people are vaccinated then there shouldn't be a problem. But you're probably right
