Aw, Let Brees and Brady hug it out. Seriously though, why can’t we have an NFL playoffs without Brady?
As for the FCF I don’t get it yet. But, I signed up for it, and I’m watching the development. I just don’t know if I will be able to get into it...

Do we still not know the schedule for this? Everything I can find just says "February".

The weekend after the Super Bowl. Clichéd, yes, but it is a proven way to get eyeballs, as the 2001 XFL, AAF and 2020 XFL showed. (Though arena football wasn't as successful.)GDAWG wrote: ↑Sun Jan 24, 2021 7:18 pmFebruary 13th according to a post on their Facebook page:

Will being buried on an online gaming platform negate that, though? The casual channel surfer is not going to go on Twitch looking for football. I get they're looking for a younger audience but their viewing habits are far different.

Twitch has been more than just "people streaming video games" as of late. Sure, there's still a lot of that, but also a lot of pro wrestling, talk shows and podcasts live recordings, movie watching (MST3K and RiffTrax) and Sports (NBA G League, NWSL, NBA, NFL Thursday Night Football).johnnyangryfuzzball wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 8:49 amThe weekend after the Super Bowl. Re: FCF - Fan Controlled Football League
A few major highlights:
contact football with standard pads
20 minute halves / 6 minute halftimes. Goal is 1hr games
No kickoffs, punts, or field goals
7-on-7 instead of 8-on-8, but still 3 down linemen)
some rules are still being voted on by fans (OT style, DPI penalty, player and team penalty accrual punishments, onsite kickoff equivalent, etc.)
fans can also earn "powers" for their team and activate them in game as well (extra timeouts, 5th down, etc.)
most rosters are redrafted each week except for 2-3 "tagged" players on each team. Defenses and Offensive Lines are each drafted as entire groups
A few other unrelated notes about the league:
About 5 weekly shows with players and coaches live streaming on Twitch, along with their companion talk show on there now.
Fans can invest in individual teams via startup funding website Republic: https://republic.co/fcf-beasts (more interesting notes on the business model here as well)
They're also beta testing the app this week too: https://fcf-beta-test.kickoffpages.com/

Oh man, it sounds so dumb that it might actually be a little fun. I'm firmly on the FCS bandwagon, but I'll try to check out a game.
Did Manziel actually show up?

Re: FCF - Fan Controlled Football League
Look, he's not Michael Sam.
I don't think Johnny's ever quit on a team midseason. Kicked out of the CFL once, yes, but this is one step above backyard rules in terms of formality and the owner is a personal friend of his. I doubt FCF is going to kick its most bankable star out unless there's a major disaster.
