Another TSL signing...

TSL still all go for May "season" per Reed of MarkCast, TSL CEO Brian Woods will be on MarkCast in a couple weeks.

Reed, of MarkCast, also mentioned that TSL may have acquired the rights to some old USFL city/names or trademarks... can't find other info on that so far....

Khoury also snapped for the Defenders in the XFL in 2020. He'll be competing with fellow XFL alum Nick Moore (Vipers) for LS duties with Baltimore this summer.

For as gimmicky as it was, you gotta give the FCF credit. One of the few, if any, alternative football leagues that grew its audience week by week. Still not a fan of all the rules or team identities but I'm honestly more excited about this than the TSL. 6 teams all playing in one arena a weekend. Have one or 2 "star players a team" Gordon, Manziel, Teabow,Marshown Lynch, Urlacher, etc with a handful of guys that were big in college but never quite made the show. Flowers, Landry Jones, Josh Johnson after he gets cut for the upteenth time. This may be the future of arena/indoor football style, a Big 3 hybrid. Give the teams some real identities and allow betting and I'm completely on board.

Manziel and Gordon are the only ones who played in the FCF. Lynch is a team owner and I don't think he's played. Urlacher was rumored but never signed.

To each his own, but TSL was real FB and the play was pretty good - better than I was expecting.

TSL is aiming to be a true dev 'league' to the NFL (or CFL etc)... I differentiate that from a minor league. Its is an academy to learn and practice against each other. It is enhancing its team structure - that's what we saw in 2020 - to make it more attractive to TV and fans. Yes, 6 teams one location. That part worked for me. They did not really need 6 teams in 2020 as there was only 2 games televised a week.

It was bumpy last fall with the Covid, but they pushed thru it. If FS1 is still onboard for this spring it with grow past their 2020 successes.

This is what the league is about and how they sell themselves to potential players, with both CFL out in 2020 and XFL out in 2021 they offer a venue to demonstrate player skillz and stay in FB shape/readiness
