I hope this isn't political, but the new XFL owners are talking about allowing kneeling.

Honestly, they are bringing this up already, and they haven't done more than purchase the league. Maybe hire some coaches and players and then let's talk.
It is all talk with these owners.

Dwayne says he supports it:

Johnson, a former football player himself, said “if our players decide to stand or kneel, they do it in unity… Us as owners it’s our job to identify what their pain is and to take care of them.”
In saying this, Johnson is distancing the XFL from the NFL, which notably was not originally in support of players exercising their right to kneel during the anthem and essentially blacklisted Colin Kaepernick for doing so. The NFL did reverse the decision and make an attempt to save face by announcing it would play the Black national anthem, “Lift Ev’ry Voice And Sing,” prior to season opener games.
“Patriotism is not indifference. Patriotism is… calling out what’s wrong with the country you love,” Garcia added.

Wow... Good luck with that DG/Rock. No wonder Fox signed up with TSL. This isn't going anywhere. Maybe they purchased it as a PR move. Joker's comments are spot on.

This is not a surprise. Right? I have no opinion other than this.

On one hand I'm glad he's still mentioning it (although let's face it he should be), OTOH no..........just no
Looks like Rock's finding this a little tougher than when he did a heel audible after his match with Brock Lesnar at Summerslam (setting up his return as Hollywood Rock six months later after he finished filming The Rundown), as far as reading the room.

The Rock was in pure shock when back several years ago, he came out to endorse his cousin Roman Reigns and the fans booed him for that.MGB01 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 7:33 pm On one hand I'm glad he's still mentioning it (although let's face it he should be), OTOH no..........just no

$15 million is an awful lot for a publicity stunt. Let's not look a gift horse in the mouth, nobody else even put a quality bid on the league besides the Rock and Co. So for all the ratings and attendance talk people love to shout about, when the books were opened, potential investors ran the other way. Honestly, it isn't surprising given how many tickets were given away at Guardians games and apparently several other cities across the league.

Not true, VM was ready to buy it back and we'd be watching XFL 2.0 season 2 in 4 months.
1) They ran away during covid porn fear; 2) VM was willing to put up $300 million there's not a long list willing to do that.; Its $5mm to the Rock - pocket chg
I said it at the time, I like Coach Hayes but he really F'd this up pushing away VM and everyone, coaches, players, fans will suffer. It wasn't just him but he was leading the group.

Going past your laughable attempt to pass off speculation as confirmation, there's a little problem with being allowed to file Chapter 11 bankruptcy if that were the case.laxtreme56 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 8:59 pm$15 million is an awful lot for a publicity stunt.
