TSL coaches of interest

Post by 4th&long »

>> Former NFL head coach and one of football's most interesting minds, Jerry Glanville, joins TSL as head coach of the Conquerors. He will line up against a bevy of talented coaches: HC Bart Andrus/Generals, HC Ted Cotrell/Blues, HC Steve Fairchild/Alphas, HC Terry Shea /Aviators and HC Chuck Bresnahan/Jousters. <<

While the TSL - Fall 2020 season is clearly being put together in a pinch, Woods has done that with the FXFL/TSL and has pulled it off. Like anything else play will get better as they get some weeks under their belt. This is no XFL or AAF but these players will be their to get film like, with FS1 that gets interest up.

It also looks like a test run for spring 2021 and FS1 to work things out - will be interesting to see what happens over the course of this season and what changes/improvements occur in 2021 by both the league and FS1.

Former XFL camp player heads to TSL

>> When the XFL 2.0 came around Spicer was given another shot, signing with the LA Wildcats. He was praised by wildcats coach Winston Moss on his character stating

“You could not ask for a better character person”

Jerimiah would also receive praise from NFL 5x Super Bowl Champion, Pepper Johnson for his play on special teams and overall aggressiveness on the field.

Jerimiah Spicer will have the chance to continue his football journey playing for The Aviators in The Spring Leagues Fall Season. This could be the shot Spicer has been looking for and we are definitely excited to see him get the chance to hit the field again. Not only will he have another opportunity to showcase his skills, but it will be aired on Fox Sports 1, with both practice and game film being sent directly to all NFL and CFL teams. <<

There are enough interesting player and coach stories in this league to make me want to watch it.

For example Jeremiah Spicer. I need to catch that guy and see if he’s as good as I’ve read about.

I get a kick out of the way they get in a plug for OSU/Michigan with Barrett and Patterson, remember in the first Big Ten reschedule it was set to be Oct 24 before going back to where it belongs.

Unfortunately I'm also getting "Jim Zorn back to DC" vibes, in which nobody cares.

.

Because much like with Zorn, they shouldn't be used as selling points. Barring the miniscule chance of Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt calling one of these games it shouldn't be in the convo other than as a side "Oh, cool" deal.

Besides, as with Zorn in Snyderland,, Patterson's time at Michigan isn't looked upon favorably by the UM faithful, so if they're going for that angle, that ain't happening.
