I tend to agree with this line of thinking, with caveats. Obviously they've got to have a TV deal in place, one that ideally pays them something given they'll be making little on the bubble season. It would be difficult to keep player/coach continuity with teams if they skipped 2021 altogether, which I'd hate to see. Unlike Vince, they haven't come out with a $ amount they're willing to spend to make the league work, so it'll all depend on whether a bubble season can fit into their budget.

A couple more articles:
https://frontofficesports.com/sources-f ... s-xfl-3-0/
This focuses on the potential for TV deals, and while FOX seems interested, the article doesn't paint a rosy picture of the potential for the XFL to cash in on any partnership even to the level of the previous deals.

People Magazine talks with Garcia about the purchase of the league, with a little bit more of a profile of her than anything groundbreaking about the league.

The MAC just became the first FBS conference to pack up and move to spring, now speculation that the Big Ten could follow as reportedly Kevin Warren backs the move.
ABC and FOX both becoming "Big Ten Saturday" would pretty much do it for the XFL as far as being on Saturdays. There is Turner, which would be weird with them "back in the wrasslin' business", but at the end of the day when the question is do you wanna do this it isn't even a thing.

They delay a return to 2022 if that is the case.MGB01 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 12:53 pm The MAC just became the first FBS conference to pack up and move to spring, now speculation that the Big Ten could follow as reportedly Kevin Warren backs the move.

Wouldn’t Sundays still be available? And what about people like me that don’t give a damn about college football?GDAWG wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 5:52 pmThey delay a return to 2022 if that is the case.MGB01 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 12:53 pm The MAC just became the first FBS conference to pack up and move to spring, now speculation that the Big Ten could follow as reportedly Kevin Warren backs the move.

I think it all depends on college football. There could be some weekends where college football games are played on Sundays as well as Saturdays in the spring. Again, 2021 only works if there's a bubble. If it can't work 2022 should be the year of relaunch.Metallifreak10 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 6:22 pmWouldn’t Sundays still be available?
