If NAL plays that's one of the better franchises, but this is a step down from TSL or AFL
The last version of the AFL was a step down from the AFL, but yeah on the NAL, it's so disorganized and phony that on the same day the IFL released their schedule (yesterday), they come out and announce that Louisville (newly established in the IFL and clearly on the new schedule) was terminated as a member, you can't make this up.

Considering the last anyone really heard of it were the Streets (played on a 38-yard field, locker room theft at halftime of their last home game) and Predators (apparently Kenny McEntyre hung around Brian Woods) debacles I'm surprised it wasn't claimed by the pandemic.

Of note Shawn Oakman played for the West Virginia Roughriders, who are pushing back their NAL debut again to 2022.
Then you have the IFL, which still claims the Oakland Panthers as members even though they reneged on a promise to return in 2021 and its owner has moved to Fan Controlled Football.

The whole professional football scene right now, outside the NFL, is an absolute, uncontrolled disaster. For those who are looking for options, the coronavirus vaccine can't come soon enough.
Can't argue with that, nailed it.

That's still miles ahead of the NAL though, and given the state of California right now it's almost understandable the Panthers and Strike Force are taking 2021 off, although a 2022 return remains to be seen.

Speaking of which the NAL is supposed to have a new team in Ontario, CA (yeah that'll work just great with all the other teams on the East Coast, at least with Louisville and Massachusetts they're relatively closer to the easternmost IFL teams). Yet they didn't mention them in the release.

Oh that game that I referenced, the league actually gave it to the Streets via forfeit, despite the fact it was one of their equipment guys that was doing the theft and they were getting destroyed 46-0. But it was the Cobras that were unprofessional for not sticking around

I mean the IFL's done plenty of stupid stuff in the last decade (TO, Fanchise, questionable expansion, the Sioux Falls/West Michigan bait-and-switch, the fact that Kevin Guy actually owns a rival team), but this totally laps them on the stupid scale--it's like they're taking the torch from the AAL or whatever that league was that basically ripped off half the UFL

They have not signed, but Battlehawks QB Nick Fitzgerald and Defenders QB Tyree Jackson both tried out for the Colts....as tight ends.

Never know, position moves are still all the rage. Stephen Sullivan, who was Thaddeus Moss' running mate at TE last year for the national champs, made his NFL debut a few weeks ago..........at defensive end (Patriots have a guy they do that with too IIRC)

Reggie Howard of the LA Wildcats has signed with the Massachusetts Pirates of the Indoor Football League:

I hope IFL and Mass get to play. It's not as good as AFL. But overall IFL can float a players career for a run back into CFL/XFL.

The IFL is of the belief that they will play in 2021. In fact all of the indoor leagues believe they will play in 2021.

Correct. And I hope they do.

I'd actually prefer to see the Rock turn his XFL.into an indoor league to replace the old AFL. It's got NFL markets....all of them have major arenas.....the game is fast and entertaining.....and I miss it. It's a void that can't be filled by the tiny markets of the IFL. Do we really need another outdoor league with the NFL already present? I just bet it would work. Just tossing that out there.

Interesting but no, I'd much prefer XFL in winter/spring as Outdoor FB.

Its a shame the AFL folded but they have been poorly run since the 2008 crash.

The other indoor leagues are minor leagues compared to even a small AFL. But post 2020 things may change. Who knows.
