Re: Power Rankings-Week 3
I think I might put TB ahead of Seattle.
It's gettin' hot in here...and we about to burn 'em up!
Looks like the 2020 XFL champion may be 2-3 seconds short of playing a full season

Re: Power Rankings-Week 3
1. Houston (+1)
The last remaining undefeated Roughnecks moves up a slot with a narrow victory over Tampa, mainly by virtue of DC (the team previously ahead of them) losing.
2. St. Louis (+1)
A New York spanking pushes the Battlehawks up another notch.
T-3½. Dallas (+½)
The Renegades go into a hostile Seattle environment and pick up a strong road win, even if Seattle is slightly below average.
T-3½. DC (-2½)
A beatdown at the hands of the previously winless LA knocks the Defenders off their top perch and way down the totem pole.
5. Los Angeles (+1½)
As I said last week, the Wildcats are a better team than their record indicates, and a decisive upset win over DC (sadly in a half-empty stadium) proves it.
6. Seattle (-1)
The Dragons are about where they deserve to be in the standings: good enough to beat the bottom, but not quite enough to beat the top.
T-7½. Tampa Bay (+½)
A change in play-caller and improved accuracy from Quentin Flowers led to a far more respectable showing for the Vipers, despite the loss, thus bumping them up to a tie for last instead of falling behind Team 9 like I might have done with an uglier lost.
T-7½. New York (-1)
If not for their week 1 win over Tampa Bay, the utterly imploding and undisciplined Guardians would be firmly in last place.

Parody.
LA flipped the rankings in 60 min.
Tough to do rankings w/ this kind of parody.
I defer to next week to try power rankings again.

Re: Power Rankings-Week 3
it may be better to show the good teams and bad team
the good
houston
dallas
stl
dc
la
the bad
tb
seattle
ny
that was a good week to categorize the teams, but what separates the good from bad can be squeezed with coaching, turnovers, timing and injuries
week 4 adds more clarity

Re: Power Rankings-Week 3
These were my rankings over in Reddit:
1. Houston - easy.
2. St. Louis - still not convinced they're the 2nd best team on paper but credit where credit is due.
3. Dallas - Hasn't been pretty these first three weeks, but they were my #1 team prior to the season so I think the talent is there.
4. LA
5. DC - DC vs. LA was the toughest call. I still think DC has the better roster, but we all saw what happened yesterday. DC has the better record but it seems like strength of schedule is playing a role, there
6. Seattle - Looking better than I expecting but still not on par with the rest of the west.
7. New York - So far, they look like the worse team, but I can't put Tampa head of them after they blew out the Vipers two weeks ago.
8. Tampa Bay
