I was hoping for 25,000. So, 3k under, in Tampa I was expecting 15,000, got 3k more. So it’s a wash at 40,000 for the day. St Louis should get 28,000 plus/minus a few hundred, hopefully LA can get 12,000 to get to 80,000 for the weekend.
Which is great for the league however they cant expect to sustain with only high draws in two cities...they've gotta get more fan-interest in the other cities like LA that has been uninterested in their team -for the most part and in my opinion of course
Which is why Orlando and San Diego will be replacements in 2021, or at least strongly considered. LA is there for the market, but that only goes so far if they aren't among the top ten.
I don’t disagree with you but I bet they can’t leave LA or NY because of their tv deals. Expansion is more likely than relocation from those two cities, even despite poor attendance

I think San Diego would like another football team honestly. The chargers moving was dumb
I also agree. I’m in the huge minority here but I want there to be four expansion teams by 2022 and I want it to be San Diego, Orlando, San Antonio and ... either Birmingham, Chicago, Columbus or Philadelphia

That was a pretty weak 2 minute drill.

It's amusing to see them try that air raid offense for half the game and then switch to a run game. Especially since the expectations are for incredible passing plays and it works, but not very often.
Raising heck...

Congrats Renegaders. See you in Dallas!
It's gettin' hot in here...and we about to burn 'em up!

Looks like the 2020 XFL champion may be 2-3 seconds short of playing a full season :?

Well keep in mind the only reason the Express were ever in LA is because Alex Spanos blocked them from SD, and ABC probably would have been on board either way. NY is probably the one they want.
It's essentially the same scenario as when ABC had the AFL back in the early 60s.

Otherwise, expansion with rivals in mind would be the thing, though I'd rather hold off until 2022

The USFL was required to have teams in New York, Chicago, and LA as part of one of the TV contracts. I assume ABC.

I know the game is basically over on that final drive. But why did they phone it in at 28 seconds left? Get yourself another 30 yards in 18 seconds and kick a 55 yard field goal leaving 5 seconds left. Onside, then Hail Mary.

Extremely unlikely, yes, but I don’t get just giving up.

ABC might have pushing it to pitch the Olympics. Once they got there LA didn't seem so important, fact they even moved the conference championship to Arizona (Olympics were still a few weeks out), and then didn't televise Kelly/Young II, even regionally, cause the crowds were so bad.
