Guardians logo?

So i think everyone thinks the Guardians logo looks like a Lion. and it made sense as a lion because NY is the concrete jungle and the concrete lion is the king of the concrete jungle.

another poster pointed out to me that it’s actually a gargoyle and the Guardians have been using gargoyles in all their promos.

so what do you guys think this thing is? is it definitely a gargoyle?

Of course, a gargoyle can have the head of a lion/cat, so it can be a bit of both.

wow man thanks. so yea definitely a gargoyle. it’s weird because by the name and the logo you’d never guess that at all. i think they did a terrible job with the logo.

but whatever still a Guardians day 1.

I wasn't sure what it was when I first saw it, only that it was amazing. But the video cleared things up. Considering there's no clear idea of what a gargoyle's head is supposed to look like (they might resemble lions, wolves, humans, etc) I think they did an excellent job with it.
