Probably a smart move. Perez is more suited to Gilbride’s offense IMO.

So that cements Johnson as the starter in LA, doesn't it?

Charles Kanoff (not Chad Kanoff) The original tweet was a little off.

Same guy.
So a Penn(hmm?) QB with camp experience at AZ and also bouncing on/off Practice Squads pretty much till Jan 6 2020 off TB Bucs's PS. Pretty much the kind of player the XFL was looking to pick up after NFL season was over.
Apparently XFL NY likes him less than LA so they trade QBs.
Let's see if either / both make the 52 man.

You have to imagine with Johnson winning the starting job, Perez would've been a hot commodity on the trade market. I'm surprised the Wildcats didn't try to fill a need elsewhere on the team in trading Perez, rather getting only another backup QB in return.

Yup. Seems like the Cats are getting the short end of the stick on their trades. I didn’t think Perez would be our starter, but he would make a solid back up. #4 of the big names on the Wildcats gone, wonder whose next. Wonder what the strategy is...if there is one.

I still question whether some of these trades are league made instead of team league. Oliver luck brings up the word parity so often in interviews and then you see these position for position trades that leave me scratching my head. We will see I guess
