F***
I guess the one positive is that Chuck Long runs the air raid too, and did under Stoops at OU in the mid-2000's. But, yeah, this sucks no matter which way you spin it.

Sounds like Doug Meacham is ditching the team to go back to TCU. If he isn’t willing to commit to at least one season, why take the job in the first place? Screw that guy.

I have to agree. Especially a month before the season begins. It’s the kind of thing that would be bittersweet if the XFL blows past expectations and Doug Meacham gets fired after one season at his new gig.

It seems unlikely that Meacham gets fired after one season unless TCU has a worst record in 2020 than 2019. However, TCU is coached by Gary Patterson and he has never had back-to-back losing seasons. The last time TCU did not go to a bowl game was in 2013 when they went 4-8. They had gone to 5 consecutive Bowl games before 2019 and were in the bowl hunt until the last week of the season when they lost to West Virginia 20-17. Many around here are expecting a rebound year for TCU in 2020.

Most of us expected something like this to happen to at least one of the teams. That it's St. Louis is also likely no surprise.

It's unfortunate the Battlehawks have the most unproven roster and coaching staff, because all the talk I've seen is that the city has embraced the XFL thus far and they deserve to have a good team to support.

Well, so far all the HCs are in place... that's a good sign. Lets hope this is it on the coordinator front.
