I went through each non-playoff team's website and compiled their practice squads. I'll post them here to track what players get signed to futures contracts, and what players don't, giving us an idea of who may be available to the XFL before/during training camp. I've also denoted players on practice squads whose rights already belong to an XFL team. PSI indicates the player ended the season on the practice squad injured list...I'm not sure if those players are subject to being signed to futures contracts or not. I will go through and bold the names who end up getting signed to futures deals as they occur.

Miller was also a Battlehawk draftee but he is signed now on futures. Other futures: Anthony Fabiano, Aca'Cedrick Ware, Brad SeatonGregParks wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2019 12:39 pm I went through each non-playoff team's website and compiled their practice squads. Update: 2 XFL Draftees not on a practice squad have been signed to futures contracts by the Panthers in Vipers RB Marcus Murphy and Battlehawks K Elliott Fry. Also, Montrel Meander has been signed to a futures contract

Just awesome Greg. Thanks. Not an easy thing to do or keep track of.
Just got this notification from the Jets.

Re: NFL Practice Squad/Futures Contracts Tracker
Great job Greg.
When all is said and done. It’s a lot of players. Over 320 in total that end the season on the practice squad. Obviously the focus is on the 20 teams that didn’t make the playoffs right now. 4 more teams get eliminated this weekend.
To be honest. I would be surprised if the XFL adds very many players off of these groups.
There are also some side deals that take place with practice squad players and future contract players.
Quick story. Last year, the Jets wanted to sign Vikings practice squad player Jeff Badet to a futures contract after the season ended. Minnesota gave Badet a 75,000 dollar bonus to not sign with the Jets. Funny thing is that Badet ended up being released by the Vikings this summer. Now he is on the Dallas Renegades. With his 4.2 speed, Badet could end up being the Renegades #1 receiver. It worked out for Badet financially that the Jets pursued him. Some of these players may benefit from the XFL presence.

Re: NFL Practice Squad/Futures Contracts Tracker
Time stamp these practice squad players that sign futures deals and I guarantee you that a year from now. They are almost all on XFL rosters in 2021.
Some of them might not even stay on an NFL roster once the draft and free agency happen in the spring. Probably cut before the XFL season even ends in Late April.

Re: NFL Practice Squad/Futures Contracts Tracker
This league is losing players to futures contracts?!?! They should be picking UP players.
This is an utter disaster. How utterly SICK is it that players would rather sign a $0 contract with an NFL team that will likely bury them at the bottom of an offseason roster than actually accept money to play professional football? How did this go so horribly wrong? The XFL should be signing these guys!

Re: NFL Practice Squad/Futures Contracts Tracker
The XFL has already signed 560 players to contracts. 70 per team. I don’t think the league is even interested in signing a large amount of these players. They are not trying to sign 320 extra players to the league. When at the end of January. The 560 in the XFL becomes a little over 400johnnyangryfuzzball wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2019 8:44 pm This league is losing players to futures contracts?!?! They should be picking UP players.

Re: NFL Practice Squad/Futures Contracts Tracker
Actually I think the XFL WAS trying to pick up top PS players in early January, the fact that players are signing Futures Contracts for $0.00 is odd to me.... is that true? I guess they still feel that an NFL Futures contract beats XFL with chance of injury even with the film, practice, conditioning and game time. I think they will regret that decision.LeoNY wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2019 9:27 pmThe XFL has already signed 560 players to contracts. 70 per team. Re: NFL Practice Squad/Futures Contracts Tracker
I don't think it's a disaster. This is a problem that was bound to happen, and even quite predictable. Still more than enough players in the pool.
Fan of the XFL from the beginning. You may remember me from the original XFLboard.
