In that case, I'll repeat the question: how does one go about striving for a 2.0 but not a 3.0? (Or, if you prefer, 2 million viewers but not 3 millions viewers?)

In business you have goals with a range (low - high) and stretch goals. IF the goal was 2.0 for example the range would likely be 1.5 - 2.5 with a Stretch goal of 3.0.
Having said that I'm sure their range is .9 - 1.2 million Stretch maybe 1.5mm - viewers. Because if they average over 1.5mm viewers it will be considered a Grand Slam
It's not a stretch for the XFL to get a million a week if everything is good. I don't think the XFL will ever reach the number that college football gets but surely it will surpass MLS and WNBA.
