Also, the AAF probably won't even operate for 3 years, but if they were to "suspend" league operations (before admitting they had folded) what is to stop them from holding players to those contracts just to keep them from signing with the XFL?

Luck sent out a letter to agents suggesting that players signing a long term deal with a 2019 spring football league might not be in that player’s best interest and waiting until the XFL might be a better alternative. Luck contends the XFL might offer a better compensation package.
