Million dollar bowl ? What other name could the XFL use for their championship game

McMahon bowl or play for the McMahon trophy if the actual game is called something else.

We did this here about a month ago. I am hoping that the site is either for the team with best record or in Las Vegas during NFL draft weekend.

XFL Championship Game is fine. Alpha Bowl named after the league’s parent company or The Spring Football Classic.

Maybe somebody (or some corporation) will donate a trophy or cup. Then they'd have naming rights. Maybe one of the networks carrying the games....? Imagine "the Fox Cup - brought to you on ESPN"
But seriously, why not have naming rights? Everything else does. Another revenue stream.

The old World Hockey Association did that with the Avco World Trophy when their challenge for the Stanley Cup was rejected.

It'd be an interesting source of revenue for the league, given they don't have TV revenue yet.

Lets think about how our current leagues settled on their championship names:

MLB-Had 2 competing leagues already crowning league champs (AL and NL champs) so while "MLB Championship Series" or "MLB Finals" would work but "MLB" was an entirely new entity so "Wold Championship Series" reduced to "World Series" became the name.

NHL-When the NHL was founded in 1917 an "interleague" competition already existed to settle the best "pro" hockey team in North America and the final round was already known the the "Stanley Cup Finals" as the other leagues and eventually through mergers, folding of leagues, and the NHL buying up all the "best" talent relegated other leagues to minor league status eventually the "Stanley Cup playoffs and Finals" became how the NHL determined its champion.

NFL-The NFL championship began in 1933 and after the AFL came into existence in the 1960's with its own AFL championship a merger was eventually reached. Because the first 4 NFL-AFL Championship games would occur prior to the merger using the name "NFL Championship" would not work so instead it became the "World Championship" and eventually "Super Bowl"

NBA-The NBA has never faced a major championship merger with a competing league so their title series continues to simply be the "NBA Finals"

MLS-Like the NBA so far MLS has not had any true challenger and their title game is known as the "MLS Cup"

So personally, until the XFL is forced to make a change and/or a name change naturally develops anything other than "XFL Championship Game" or something similar (XFL Bowl, XFL Cup, etc...) would feel forced.

What's wrong with X-Bowl? Put the brand to the test.

For whatever it's worth, the X Bowl is already a thing in Japan.
