XFL Draft November 16th, per Becht

In one of his many St. Louis media appearances yesterday, Anthony Becht dropped that the XFL Draft will take place November 16th ("I believe"). That would be a Wednesday. With so many rounds, I wonder if it'll be a two-day affair as it was in 2020, perhaps with the first day on that Wednesday.

Previous draft was three days long. If this is the case, Nov 16 might be the start date? Regardless, we always knew the draft was in November.

Was it three days in 2019? Wow. Yeah, it's hard to imagine them drafting 60is rounds in one day.

And while it is later than the draft in 2019, I don't really think there's an incentive to do it earlier. Most players aren't signing contracts until training camp in January. A mid-November draft allows teams more time to scout/film players in the draft pool and allows extra time to acquire more players for the pool (pool will be set a week before the draft per Whaley). And there's no traditional minicamp in December anyway as there was in 2019.
