Yes, I recall. My reasoning is this is a different Bomber team than that one, with all aspects of the game being able to overpower the opponent. If they come to play, and it seems they are all healthy and ready, the Bomber defense should be able to shut down the Argos single-handedly.

The CFL needs to get a better broadcast deal, and maybe stop playing playoff games on Sunday when the NFL season is on.
Fan of the XFL from the beginning. You may remember me from the original XFLboard.

Maybe TSN can get CFL Playoff games on over the air telecasts on CTV and move the regular season NFL games to TSN. It doesn't help the CFL to get stuck behind a cable wall

Or maybe they can stop running head to head with the NFL.

The 94 and 96 Grey Cups seemed to be all the rage, in fact the 96 "Winter Wonderland" Cup (which arguably saved the league) supposedly had lots of interest from NFL high.

Those numbers aren't that bad. Most people in Quebec would watch on RDS, which would add about 200,000 viewers (if I remember correctly) and bring it to a similar number.

And last year's West final had Saskatchewan in it, by far the league's biggest draw.

That being said, I wouldn't upset if Bell would treat the league better and put some games on CTV throughout the season.

The exact same Eastern matchup last year had over 100k more viewers, so either way it's a decline. The first round of the CFL playoffs used to easily draw 1 million viewers with 1.5 million-2 million for the 2nd round and 4-5 million for the Grey Cup. Those numbers have all dropped by about 1/3 in just the past few years. Fans are either tuning out or dying off, especially since the CFL has some of the oldest fan demographics in North American sports.

“Football is on the decline, and I could start with the Lions and the CFL. You just look at the people in the stands, and they’re all 60 and over. They’ve disengaged … they’re not connected with the youth."

Next year's games, aside from the Grey Cup, will be on Saturdays.

Smart. You still have college football in the U.S., but the US TV market is clearly not the priority for the league.

Fun game! There is a lot to complain about the CFLs playoff format (4th best team getting a first round bye) but I'm happy for a lot of the Argos players.

Sad Macbeth couldn't finish the game but what a performance by Kelly! Tough to go in those circumstances.
