Playoffs

Post by KJE »

With the Roughriders out, I'm all in on Rourke and the Lions. It is such a good story for the league.

In the East, I don't really care. Maybe I'll cheer for the Argos since I like Macbeth's journey.

I will cheer for anyone by the Alouettes in the east. The west is interesting, and I am hoping for a Calgary Winnipeg final.

Both semi final games were exciting.
I pick Toronto and Winnipeg. Winnipeg will dominate Rourke(I cheering for the kid) and the Lions. The Bombers get the three peat.

I am a Bomber fan and always nervous this time of year. The Bombers have a knack for wining big games, and looking to extend that streak into three GCs. It will be fun to watch.

Toronto has to maul Montreal this coming week. I am tired of the Alouettes and especially glad this coming game won't be in their home stadium where that annoying fan pumps his toy horn incessantly.

Rourke struggled tonight and the Bombers are going for their third straight Grey Cup, but Collaros left late with a limp/foot injury.

MacBeth played well earlier. I don't know if the Argos have much of a chance but I sure hope he plays well. He is such a fun story so it would be nice for him to succeed.

Both Finals were good and entertaining. The Lions and Rourke are going to be a force to be reckon with next year.

I predict the score will be Bombers over the Argos, 34 -21.

Good Luck to both teams

Wow. Love CFL playoff football.

Montreal was silenced and the best team won in the east.

Rourke may get offers elsewhere and some he can’t refuse, especially if it is from NFL teams. But would he want to sit on an NFL bench as a third stringer? I doubt it. Will be interesting to see this drama in the off season.

Collaros likely has a high ankle sprain, and he will rest it this week and come back to play. He might be hampered next week, but I think the Bombers backup Dru Brown would be good enough to beat the Argos next week. Bomber defence will feast on the Argos in the Grey Cup.

The thing is I haven't heard of any rumors that an NFL team is interested in signing Rourke, have you? I think Rourke has one more year on his rookie contract. Amar Doman, owner of the BC Lions has other businesses and could sign an endorsement deal with his company to supplement his CFL pay grade. But keep in mind, in his next contract, he will be the highest paid QB in the league.

Nathan has a younger brother, Kurtis that is killing it at the University of Ohio. If he goes unselected by the NFL, look for the other sibling to give the CFL a try..

Remember the last time the Bombers used a backup to play in the Grey Cup was Ryan Dimwiddie, now head coach of the Toronto Argos and he lost

This is a pretty alarming drop in playoff ratings. The league and more importantly, TSN, can't be happy about this.
