Gamblers sign WR Zubar... he's back... as CB?

Free Agent Signings:

• CB Isaiah Zuber

>> After his USFL success, Isaiah signed back to the Las Vegas Raiders. This time, he remained on the roster until September 5th, but was once again released.

Now, Isaiah is headed back to the USFL, landing in familiar territory in Houston. It is worth noting that the Gamblers listed him as a CB this time around, which could be an indicator for the primary position he will play next year.
Final Thoughts

Speaking of next year, there are a lot of unknowns surrounding the Houston Gamblers franchise at the moment. The USFL-XFL merger is nearing its completion, and only one team can be featured in Houston between the Gamblers and the Roughnecks.

Until that is settled, though, it is business as usual for GM Lionel Vital and the Gamblers. The team signed safety Tyler Coyle last week, breaking their two months of silence. <<

Yet Another Gamblers signing: DL Jake Hlava

>> It’s been a busy week for the Houston Gamblers. Amidst a few signings, the team has brought in DL Jake Hlava for the 2024 season.

GM Lionel Vital has been quite aggressive in signing players over the past week. The team was silent for over two months, but have recently signed a few athletes including:

WR Isaiah Zuber
OL Justin Redd
S Tyler Coyle

As the USFL-XFL merger nears its completion, it’ll be interesting to see what ultimately happens in Houston. The city can only have one team between the Roughnecks and the Gamblers. Regardless, the Gamblers have been picking up the pace with signings as of late, which could be a sign of things to come in the new league. <<
