Stars/Maulers/Breakers Signing after merger annoucement

Post by 4th&long »

And just to make it more confusing...

https://pfnewsroom.com/news/pittsburgh- ... -torneden/

>> Now, Torneden is set to return to the USFL’s top defense in 2024. In spite of the USFL-XFL merger and the flurry of news on that end, Pittsburgh will continue business as usual until everything becomes official by the leagues themselves. <<

https://pfnewsroom.com/news/new-orleans ... ean-coyne/

>> It’s been an interesting offseason for New Orleans, and the USFL as a whole. Just yesterday, it was announced that the USFL and XFL merger was approved by the government.

The leagues will play a combined season in 2024. Right now, the early word is that the league will only feature 8 teams. But, until things become official, it’s business as usual for New Orleans. <<

Every XFL team is still posting on social media and signing players as well. It's business as usual until it isn't

Its also a waste of cost, resources and time. Unless of course the latest rumors are as off as those that came before and things aren't as set as rumored.

Stars Signing after merger annoucement

Post by 4th&long »

https://pfnewsroom.com/news/philadelphi ... -demus-jr/

>> While the USFL-XFL merger is right around the corner, the Philadelphia Stars have signed WR Dontay Demus Jr. to a contract for the 2024 season.
~
Ultimately, Baltimore decided to let Dontay go in October, although he was originally on the practice squad. While he garnered NFL interest from a couple of other organizations since then (Washington, New York Jets), Demus couldn’t latch on to a roster.

Now, he will look to continue his professional career with the Philadelphia Stars.<<

Another STARS signing 12/14

>> The Philadelphia Stars have made another move, signing USFL College Draft Pick Destin Mack for the 2024 season. Mack was selected in the 9th round by the Stars, and now joins the team several months after the draft.<<

And the beat goes on...
