Brett Hundley is going to be the starting QB for the @XFLVipers

That’s why Bryan Scott and Vegas have mutually agreed to part ways.

The XFL and the Vipers have had interest and talks with Hundley’s reps for quite some time. His availability was in question.

In summary B Scott "Leave USFL play for us" - The XFL; next Luis Perez "Leave USFL play for us" - The XFL
Then Hundley - Less tahn 3 weeks before games start signing Hundley (so much for 5 week of camp) - "Hey Hundley come sign with us and start, we'll bench the two other spring leaguers" - The XFL

Per MM they've been in discussions with Brett for a while, guess LP and BS didn't know (granted they have no obligation to tell them but... they gotta feel stiffed)

For the Fans! XFL a league of opportunity! to leave a starting role and sit on bench? This isn't going to sit well (pun intended with many who made the jump)

And we should just start guaranteeing jobs right?

Looks like we got someone to take BengalErnst's "torch"
No I said above they have no obligation - but if they use "starting" as a recruiting to jump leagues or miss other opportunities - I'm sure they are pissed (aka B Scott)

Yeah opportunity, not a guarantee.

That' not what I said. Apparently Hundley was guaranteed for example. I'm saying IF they recruited Scott using "starting QB" or "compete with Luis P" for starter and then they hire someone else... it won't sit well with anyone.

Couldn't have been a case of "be ready" could it (and Woodson would know BH as well as anyone)? If it was guaranteed this would have been done two weeks ago Wednesday.

What's next, was Woodson secretly colluding with the Ravens org not to sign Hundley to a futures deal for just this? Call your buddy Florio and get him on this STAT!

Shocking? Nope

You aren't going to attract "higher" level spring FB talent with "its just an opportunity" - lets be honest these guys want to START. Sometimes the simple answer is correct.

The real question is - why is he leaving the XFL? Did he exhaust his options there? Done as part of a deal? He's definitely going to USFL?

So guaranteeing one is bad but the other's alright, got it.

Mitchell’s post lines up with what Analyst deleted and apologized for and was apparently misled by Scott on, wonder if they both got the info from him. It’s kinda wild how this is turning out given he was an mvp favorite for both leagues, I still wouldn’t mind him with the gamblers

XFL is all about managing their PR. They wanted Hundley and got him and Scott was the collateral damage. The QB's were assigned more or less. This sounds like another XFL-NFLAA snafu.
