The one with the grey field? Woof. USFL should offer to install a new field instead of paying rent. Win-win for everyone.

Good catch Herns.

>> The USFL continues to explore options for at least one more hub, and possibly two. Metro Detroit and Philadelphia are cities being discussed.

If there are two more hubs, each of the four hubs would house two teams. If there is one more hub, whether it's Detroit or Philadelphia, that hub would likely host four of the league's eight teams, based on team geography. A spokesperson for the USFL told The News this week that there is no timetable for a decision on a future hub or two. The second season of the USFL kicks off Sunday, April 16, about two weeks before Eastern Michigan's semester ends, with the championship game set for early summer. Training camp starts in March. <<

>>Detroit's Ford Field, home of the Lions, also is on the USFL's radar, according to another source.<<

This article was updated at 5:40pm - I know when I read it earlier they said Ford Field was NOT contacted.

USFL needs to keep their bargining chips on the table.

This is the right year to pony up for the higher rent in Detroit proper. Because no one there loves the Lions and Tigers.

This would be great to add Detroit as a hub because its not far from the house, the Tigers suck right now, and it will start establishing fan bases in the cities the teams claim to be from.
