They ran USFL commerials at 3pm and one under 2min in half - best part of this POS game
The game is brutal. Eagles look bad but 49ers giving up 1st downs on penalties like its Christmas and Shanahan 2 major FUps (no challege early and rushing to snap with 3 T/O's in pocket under 2min - imbecile) biggest choker in FB right now (in big games).
Bad thing about the Stars playing in Detroit this year, having Brennan Eagles out there doing team PR would be a no-brainer. But seeing as the Eagles played at Ford Field week one I'm not sure the Philly (Eagles) Special would go over real well.
Never underestimate the pettiness of Rupert Murdoch or a Murdoch property (and look who they made sure to show!).
This could, no, will, backfire spectacularly. Why? You have people, believe it or not, that actually dig the idea of having football every week now up to the fourth of July, and then having the playoffs in Canton is a reminder that the HOF game is just a month away. You're not really doing yourself any favors by alienating your audience, especially when you weren't exactly Mr. Perfect* last year yourself (they made it in spite of gaffes like UBF and weekly rule changes, you only get away with that once).
>> A really smart ad buy from the USFL. You have an audience already interested in a product (football) and then you offer an alternative… “how about this product (football) too?” It’s just Advertising 101. #adtips #adprofessional #hotadtakes #ads

Big deal, no need to start knocking other leagues (plus a good chunk of your audience, as mentioned before, are fans as well) like you've arrived or something. Besides how the hell does it make Scott and Willis look getting cut from a team in a "knockoff league"? Not only do you own that for the rest of the year, but god forbid if they aren't starters.
If you put just the minimal amount of thought into this, this is just bad, but of course all the 10-second Twitter dorks just love it, so hey go for what you want. Just know that six months later this probably isn't gonna be what you want.

It’s just an ad it isn’t that serious lol. Both leagues have taken jabs at each other USFL on commercials xfl on twitter and in interviews, it’s expected at this point.
